About Caro
Hi, I’m Caro
I have an academic background in the Arts, dance and theatre. I am a recent immigrant to Canada. My lived experience with being a mixed race person has informed the care with which I approach culture, and the struggles that racialized folks face.I very much enjoy working with children and youth, and have experience working with grief, self harm, teenagers, LGBTQIA2S+ people, BIPOC, and I am SW+.
I have been practicing for 4 years, and I enjoy continuing my studies- particularly in decolonizing the institution of therapy, mental health in the Asian Diaspora, the arts, global issues, the work of Deb Dana and Gabor Mate, and how to generally be a better person, and therefore a better therapist.
I believe that lived experience is just as (and in some cases more) important than academic accolades and am passionate about the concept of decolonizing institutions and systems, especially therapy.
It is very important to me to be able to meet you first and foremost as human to human. I don’t believe in a power dynamic between therapist and client. I’m here to help you and offer a non-judgmental listening ear, a safe space to create and express, and to help to offer creative solutions when you may be feeling stuck. When it comes to your life - nobody knows you better than you.

“My experience working with Caro was absolutely wonderful. Every time I arrived in session, I felt seen and heard and was given the space to feel into my present and past experiences as well as play in the curiosity of the future.”
